The charged atmosphere of a buzzing Carnaby Street, on one of the first rare and hot sunny days of the summer, was eclipsed only by the energetic and captivating set performed by Kids In Glass House as part of ‘Carnaby Sound’.
The band who hail from Cardiff was enthusiastically received by a receptive crowd, encompassing die hard fans and also drawing spectators from all genres of music. Alex Phillips, lead singer, as usual sang from the heart, giving his all to their catchy and well known hits such as ‘Saturday’, ‘Matters At All’ and their recent single ‘Drive’, off of their soon to be released and eagerly awaited 5th album ‘Peace’. The band who include Iain Mahanty, Philip Jenkins, Joel Fisher and Andrew “Shay” Sheehy ignored the heat and turned up the volume to give a slick, professional and energetic set, despite the restrictions of a very small stage and a disappointedly short performance slot of 20 minutes. They certainly brought the ‘sound’ to Carnaby Street and undoubtedly extended their rapidly growing fan base. Having recently supported Bon Jovi at the Cardiff Stadium they are a band to watch with a big future ahead of them, whilst still ensuring they take the time to personally connect with their fans.
